  3. This little utility is designed to get you where no task manager has ever brought you 
  4. before.  Unlike many other task manager programs, this one has quite a few extra 
  5. features, that we thought would be useful, that are normally not present in common 
  6. manager utilities.

  9. Some features may require additional explanation:
  10.  
  11. Basically, the interface is pretty simple.  On the left you have the list of processes 
  12. running, on top, and a list of files used, on the bottom.  On the right, you have a bunch of 
  13. buttons that do stuff.
  14. Warning(s):
  15. 1)  In order for most buttons to work, one of the processes has to be selected.
  16. 2)  Windows is a weird environment.  Sometimes some things don't work.
  17. Buttons that do stuff:
  18. Hide / Show    - Hides the application off your mind and out of your face.
  19. Caption    - Allows to change application's caption bar.
  20. Minimize    - Minimizes almost any application.
  21. Top / Bottom    - Brings application to top.
  22. Kill / Destroy    - Guess.    Try to use Destroy though.  Safer.
  23. Pad    - Puts the contents of the Module list into a notepad
  24.   If the Shift key is pressed, the information goes into the same one.
  25. Init    - Initializes the window.  If a program gets lost - use this.
  26. Sleep    - Closes an application after X minutes.
  27. Allow Input    - Closes out all input to an application.
  28. Priority    - Adjust priority to your liking.
  29. Start / Stop    - Start and stop timed update for the program window.
  30. Single    - Run an update for the program window.
  31. About    - Just try it if you are clueless.

  33. The check box AutoUpdate makes sure that the window is updated after any button is 
  34. pressed.

  36. Cron:
  37. One of the most powerful features of CCTask is its CRON-style scheduler.  It is unlike 
  38. anything you've seen in windows.  The basic idea is that you should be able to 
  39. "schedule" anything anytime you want with the fewest number of lines.  It closely 
  40. resembles UNIX's cron (hence the name).
  41. Cron's strong point over the average scheduler is that, by letting the user specifying the 
  42. day-of-month, it can handle irregular events such as for during holidays.  Most schedulers 
  43. only let you specify daily/weekly/monthly.
  44. We went beyond the regular, simplistic CRON feature of simply starting a program.  You 
  45. can use our Cron feature to schedule Start or "Kill" of a program.  And system 
  46. administrators might benefit from the log feature as well.
  47. All you have to do is simply fill in the blanks, and hit the Save button.  As long as the 
  48. task manager is running at that time - it will happen.
  49. It is recommended that if you are running the CCTask for it's Cron feature, you stop the 
  50. auto refresh to save on the CPU time.  The program is designed to be able to self-update 
  51. on demand.
  52. Any time selection can be done using simple rules:
  53. * - means all
  54. 1-4,9 - means 1,2,3,4,9  (including)  do NOT use spaces!
  55. Use 24 hours/day system for the Hour(s) line.

  89. software is fully functional, as all shareware should be.
